Programs and Services

The Meadow Lake Tribal Council is a second-level government organization that administers programs and services to the Meadow Lake First Nations (MLFNs).  Under the collective direction of the MLFNs Chiefs and Councils, MLTC has been given responsibility for a number of major programs and community services that operate out of the MLTC offices.  These operations and activities are overseen by MLTC’s Director of Programs and Services who meets regularly with MLTC’s Senior Management and Program Managers to ensure that each department within the organization is performing effectively and efficiently.

MLTC Programs and Services are broken down into a handful of different departments of which many have sub-programs and direct community services operating beneath them.  The main departments are Health and Social Development, Economic Development, Education, Justice, Technical Services and Social Assistance Reform.  As the service needs of the MLFNs grow and develop over time, MLTC responds by implementing newer and more relevant programming to meet those needs and ensuring that the MLFNs are getting the most out of their Tribal Council.
