Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation is seeking a dynamic motivated Nurse to fill the full time, permanent position of Home Care Nurse.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Diploma in Practical Nursing;
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with CLPNS.
• one (1) year nursing experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing;
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with CRNS

 

• Maintain BLS Certification yearly
• Other relevant experience and certifications in northern nursing and First Nations health care is an asset.
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple demands and work independently within a multidisciplinary health team.
• Knowledgeable and sensitive to First Nations’ culture and beliefs; issues and barriers.
• Ability to fluently speak and understand Cree is considered a valuable asset.
• Proficiency in computer software/hardware applications and programs.
• Most hold a valid driver’s licence

 

Other Remuneration cost:

• Annual Education Allowance
• Annual Retention Allowance
• 1 Time – Signing Bonus after completing 3-month probation
• Annual Health Related Travel
• All mandatory certification paid by employer (not part of education allowance)
• Yearly RN or LPN licensure paid by employer
• Wages are competitive & follow the Meadow Lake Tribal Council pay scale
