The City of Meadow Lake is an economic focal point in Northwest Saskatchewan.  Outdoor recreational activities including camping, hunting, fishing and trapping abound in this welcoming community.

The welder will repair and/or fabricate mill process components and infrastructure as required; lay-out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, platforms, handrail, machine guarding, and piping using knowledge of welding techniques and metallurgy. Welding will be completed  using gas, arc-air, MIG, TIG, and electrode is required.


  •         Red Seal Interprovincial Welding Certification.
  •             Fabrication and/or repair of metal components and infrastructure in a manufacturing environment.
  •          Excellent knowledge pertaining to industry related safety programs;
  •          Ability to read blueprints, interpret OEM supplied maintenance information, and work to mill standards is essential.
  •             Troubleshooting skills;
  •              Ability to identify different material types and chose appropriate welding techniques.
  •          Knowledge of rigging procedures.
