About Health & Social Development
Meadow Lake Tribal Council (MLTC) Health and Social Development signed their first Health Transfer agreement with First Nation Inuit Health Branch, Health Canada in 1991. MLTC is now on their 24th year of providing program services.
MLTC Health and Social Development will work to ensure that services, funding, and health priorities are addressed to continue to lead our health plan and strategic priorities.
First level services are provided in the community directly to the community members.
Second level services are provided by Meadow Lake Tribal Council Health and Social Development to 9 FN communities. These services include clinical support, program support, consultation, advice and training.
Third level services are provided by NITHA and services are delivered directly to second level. These services include disease surveillance, commucable disease control, health status monitoring, epidemiology, research, planning, education. training and technical support.
